Hello!
Most of my time and effort goes into building up our military. I am the ranking member of the Committee on Armed Services. When I visit our troops they cheer for me and that feels really good.
The most difficult part of my job is constituents asking me to represent them and asking for help with the government. Half of them didn't even vote for me, yet they feel entitled to my help. Occasionally I am coerced into sponsoring a bill, but 92% of those just die in committee since I am one of the least effective members on the floor.
Here are my core beliefs:
Protect Freedom
Freedoms are very much like money. You give up your money to a bank for safekeeping. I believe you should give up your freedoms to the government for safekeeping as well.
Be Christian
I am a modern Christian. This means following several of the Ten Commandments. The civilians we are killing in the Middle East are not Christians.
Wiretap anytime, all the time
I support warrantless wiretapping. Benjamin Franklin, who said "those who would give up Liberty to purchase Safety, deserve neither" wasn't living in our terrorist world. Maybe those who desire privacy have something to hide.
TSA Porno-scanners work
I've promoted and funded porno-scanners. The chances of your naked photos appearing on the internet are relatively small, and having a TSA official looking at you naked in a private room is better than their actually fondling your genetilia!
Let's be more like Germany
Germany in the 1930s showed that a powerful military, working closely with corporations is an effective way to reduce unemployment during a recession. Study history and I hope you will agree that the Nazi fascist solution was not entirely bad and is a model we should continue to learn from.
Follow the party line
I believe in party politics. While mostly I am left alone and vote how I wish, when it comes to a critical vote and when I get the phone call I vote the party line. I am rated a "rank and file" congressman.
Lower the deficit (not my salary)
I am very concerned about the deficit. But cutting the budget means less services, and that enrages voters. So please understand I have to look out for myself first. I hope our economic system doesn't collapse too soon, because I am counting upon my retirement of $138,000 a year after I am voted out of office.
Ignore Hanford
The earth's most polluted area is right here in Washington State. I am so overwhelmed by the size and cost of the Hanford problem, I think our only choice is to ignore it.
Give soldiers the best
Soldiers deserve the best benefits we can offer them. These are men and women who have made the ultimate sacrifice by choosing to take a job of killing other people. The deaths of hundreds of thousands of non-military civilians in the Middle East are a burden these men and women will carry for their entire lives. They deserve compassion and benefits above the common citizen for the rest of their lives, too.

… Actions speak louder than words.
My solemn promise to you:
I will always treat you with sincere looking facial expressions, and I will say gentle things in public.
My staff will answer your phone calls and encourage you to do things yourself.
Be sure to look at my Movie Recommendations.
And, I love when people clap for me!
In sincerity,
Your Humbled Congressman
